If You’re Not From Manchester

If You’re Not From Manchester

If you’re not from Manchester,

You don’t know apple orchards,

Trying every kind of apple you pick.

You don’t know biting into a juicy, sweet, delicious apple.

You don’t know rows and rows of apples.

If you’re not from Manchester,

You don’t know parks and playgrounds.

You don’t know picnic benches in the shade.

You don’t know paths that loop around the park.

If you’re not from Manchester,

You don’t know bookstores–

Millions and millions of good books!

You don’t know knocking books off shelves by accident.

You don’t know candles,

Really good-smelling candles.

If you’re not from Manchester,

You don’t know the breeze,

The cool but not freezing breeze.

If you’re not from Manchester,

You don’t know grass,

The green, green grass.

My body sways like the grass in the wind.

If you’re not from Manchester,

You don’t know me.

  1. That is so creative! What is your favorite kind of apple? Mine are the soft ones.
